LIKE WE USED TO… Thursday January 13th ondecks.© is organizing the official afterparty for FELA! the musical in Bitterzoet Amsterdam. The London production of FELA!, staged at the National Theatre will be broadcast live in high definition to Pathé Tuschinski in Amsterdam.
FELA! is the true story of the legendary Nigerian musician and political activist Fela Kuti, whose soulful Afrobeat rhythms still influence music today. Among other styles Bass, Funky, New Jazz and Broken Beats build on the african beats like Fela used to play.
Bitterzoet Amsterdam will open its doors, to the people who went to see the musical and everybody else, from 2300h to celebrate the musical life of one of the biggest Afrobeat pioneers. DJs Dibb & Shenkie, DJ Threesixty and l’Afrique som Systeme.
